Thanks.
there MIGHT be a 1% increase on the car (I was told), but not the options... my discount was 1% total. I thought $984 off MSRP from what I have read across the boards on a spec order car was indeed a good deal for me. Nav. might also be included on the '08's, in which case I will get that $2000 back as well; I wont hold my breath on that one. I had a couple of other offers for 2.5% and 3.5% off, but those were on the other side of the country; that would have just about covered the shipping.

Thanks for all of your comments, much appreciated ... I'm out to finish the garage addition today, then focus on selling the 996 next week

That's a photo of Kieth Moon by the way, not I

My dealer showed me the 08 pricing for the car I orderded. The difference in NAV is that extended nav is automatically included (so you actually must pay the extra ~$200 on top of ~$2k for nav).

Great Choice

Good luck on the car. Man you have been through alot for a 40 year old.
You will love the car.

Surprising about the allotments. I live in the OC and surprising Newport Porsche still has several NEW 06 997s available.

You guys are right about exclusivity.... but really there is no better place to own a 911. Well except maybe the Alps if you don't mind paying $7/gallon for gas. But the roads would be worth it.... well at least 4 months a year.

Congratulations on your new car order!

Interesting about the number of 997's here next year, if the market is strong outside of USA they can do a lot better with the dollar's poor value vs the euro. Their only recourse here would be to raise prices, to equal the returns they can get from other markets.

Also I appreciate your candor, since you are in the PacNW like me, the price you quoted is realistic, as opposed to some of the claims I see on the various BB's!

No, West Los Angeles, where more women have 997's than men and they are more common than Civics.
