If you are ever down near the Airport, there is this car wash on Sepulveda at the Ralphs parking lot. It's a permanent setup but it takes up a part of this parking lot and it is 100% hand wash (no machine at all) and they do a great job. I have never had a detail there though. I prefer to detail my car on my own. Up until I found no time to drive home to my parents' house, I started having to go to this car wash. It costs $13 for the most basic wash.

 

I recommend Santa Palm in West Hollywood, they charge 24.95 for a hand wash.

 

Check if any carwashes have a plan .. I used to pay ~65$ for 6 washes (a month) and one full detail (every three months).

 

another vote for Melrose auto detail. they dont use any machine, only people.

i just start to go there and as far as i can remember the special rate is on Monday.
