Loose Passenger Seats?
Some people seem to have this problem, others maybe have never noticed -- since they don't sit in that seat. Is the passenger seat on your 997 solid as a rock, just a little wobbly, or outright loose?

I checked 10-15 997-987 and 996 cars and they all bounce around when you bang on the backrest or over very bumpy raods..some seats will rattle over bumps(usually when the seat is in the high position) try moving the seat to see if the noise goes away...
