Something is up with the forum - replies are appearing as the first post in the thread. This is the second one I've seen.

Dangit man--I need a 997!!

Well here it goes...

I have my Audi for sale. Thing is my car is my daily driver. I have now a few people very interested in my car now but only because 2 weeks have passed and I posted it up for sale. At first what i was trying to do was trade it in, but could not get a decent deal on a 997S...Plus of course dealers will only give you auction value and not trade in NADA or KBB. So I am stuck.

Before I actually had my car up for sale i found my exact car i was looking for a Launch edition-997 and he was going to take 64K for it. CPOed everything.
I was in heaven, but I could not move my car. So 2 weeks pass and now those people who I stated are very interested to buy are like WTF? To make things worse I am going to Europe for 2 weeks next week....Freaking timing!!!

So now my potential buyers of my car are asking why cannot they buy it now...And the guy who had the 997S got better offers on his and wont sell it under 70K..
Why cant I get the luck of a few of the members here that got crazy deals at a dealership and I can just simply trade in my S4/....Life is not fair(tears now falling and opening beer can--)

Basically I am just ranting because there are deals to be had...My timing sucks and I have to have a car to replace mine. And I can only go up to about 65K tops. Prefer one in the high 50's price wise.

Sorry for wasting your time, just want to join the club and enjoy a real well put together car. I thought i wanted a turbo, but after you drive the S, I much rather have a tighter and well bolted together car(except passenger seat) that has great everyday drivability. Not to mention is dang quick and its all you need around town.

I WANT A 997---damit. Man i feel better after writing this down.

Are there really any deals to be had in the high 50's at all? When I look around, it seems they are all in the upper 60's, low 70's (of course, these are asking prices ive been looking at). HAve you found any others??

Sell your audi, rent a crappy enterprise car for like 15-17 dollars a day until you find the perfect car. If you look over a period of a couple months and are pretty flexible with color/options, you should be able to save way more than the cost of the rental.

Are you looking at only Carrera S? If so, have fun finding one at 65k, let alone high 50s.

Better off going for a Cayman S right now and buying a junky daily driver with the excess.

Or if you MUST have a 911, just take a base.

The problem is that these cars are highly optioned out which raises the MSRP $10k+ the base price which of course is burdened by the consumer (you).

Yup--there are deals in the high 50's low 60's. I had one myself like I stated but could not turn my car in time. I had a launch edition with 25,000 miles cpo'ed till 2010. Car had every option and was a Carrera S.

Another member got one with 30k miles cpo'ed for under 60k--

Deals are out there...

I thought about the rental car deal--and might do that. Problem is that I had a friend of mine do that and ended up waiting 2 months before he got into a car he wanted. Was like $500/month...

$500/month is not that bad considering your payment on a $60k+ car will likely be $1100 month.

And it's probably less than you pay for your S4 (assuming you financed it)

If you think a deal is out there, just be patient. The grass is always greener...but yours is pretty green as well with a nice S4 (b6?)

No, I actually put down over 30k on my audi with 4.99 percent fin. over 4 years. I pay 400/month on my car. now.

I plan to put down about the same for the p-car also. But problem is now that 4.99 does not exist and only 6.69 does and that is really for new car or dealer purchased used.
