Bought a sun screen for the windshield and it doesn't fit perfectly. Parts guy says it's for a 996 and Porsche doesn't make one for a 997. I'm suspect of this and wonder what you all think.

 

I worked for Niello Porsche in Sacramento until earlier this year and it was pretty common for Porsche to not have parts for the 997 and the computer showed that the 996 equivalent was compatible. You may want to try automotion for an aftermarket piece.

I just ordered a custom sunshade and car cover from Coverking: everything is made to order based on computer tempaltes and year make and model....

 

The one for the 996 is a perfect fit for the 996, my dealer advised that it hasn't been tested on a 997. This was 2 months ago
