Question Price Advice for 997S

I located a nice Arctic Silver 2005 C2S with 13K miles on it. It has my favorite Cocoa interior, Sport Chrono (not sure about Plus), Nav, etc. Seller wants $72K; I was thinking that $68K would be more appropriate for a 2 year old. What do you think?

FWIW, the car is in the L.A. area.

Also, I'm interested in leasing the car. I've never done that before. Any favorite outfits for me to try? I took a look at LeaseCompare, one of our board sponsors. It's pretty cool.

Well always remember the asking price is usually different from the final price. Sorry I don't know anything about used 997S prices. Somebody else is gonna have to help you with that.

Just be sure it's been properly maintained, etc. I'm sure you already know, just a reminder.

Just for comparison, I just bought a 2006 C2S with 5500 miles with most options including sport seats, Sport chrono etc, but no NAV for about the same price they are asking. I think you could do better and 68k is not a bad starting point realizing you may have to meet in the middle. Good luck.

I love the Cocoa full leather. You should definitely be able to get a better deal though.

Thanks Guys. This is all good advice. Neil, I love the Altas Gray color! Saw it for the first time last week on a Cayman.

In Los Angeles $68k would be a good starting point, and Leasecompare is a very good service for leasing used.

Guys,

Thanks for the pricing advice. My search ended a couple of weeks ago and I picked up another 6speeder's 997S. It's black/black; not a favorite color scheme but it has all my important options - pccb, adaptive sport seats, etc.

Neil: Are those 18" wheels on your car? I've been considering changing from my 19" Sport Designs to 18" for a hopefully improved ride (plus I don't particularly like cleaning Sport Designs).
