Wheel cleaning advice?
After you wash your car, let it sit around for the rotors to dry out..... Once they are dry you don't have to do anything......
AG, I do the same thing, it helps dry the wheel lug areas....

After washing and drying my car in the driveway, I pull forward close to the garage door and then put in reverse. As soon as the car gets momentum in reverse I engage clutch and apply light braking until I stop. I pull forward again and repeat several times. This process scrapes all residual water off the rotors w/ the brake pads. I then pull into the garage to park the car. Then just a few more drips from the rotor onto the bottom inside of wheel, which I wipe away before it dries. The next day there is no rust on the rotors.
Before I start with the water, I spray down all the wheels with quality Wheel Gel and let it set. I then spray the car with water, do good coverage, but using a mist as to not soak the wheels, then begin to wash the car. After I have gone over it 1 good time with the good soapy water, I rinse lightly with a mist. I use a seperate wash bucket with fresh water, and an EZ-Detail brush, I can clean the entire wheel, inside to outside lip. It is great. I also use a wheel brush for the face of the wheel, soft natural bristles with plenty of water on both, I clean the fender wells and lip at each wheel. I do this early AM, when the humidity is still high. When I have completed all 4 wheels, I thoroughly rinse the wheels, ROTORS until CLEAN water is all I get, rinse fender liners, and wheel wells. Wash the car once more, because OCD will not just let me wash it once.
I dry the wheels with my Stihl blower, making sure to dry the rotors, caliper, center cap, and lug nuts. I then blow off the mirrors, to ensure all water is out and not dripping down the door. Rear spoiler, around both rear tail lamps, down any body lines where two sections meet, between hood and fender, door and rocker panel, window and seals, hood and rear quarter. Front Headlights and fogs, side markers. Once this is complete, I blow off the rest of the car to get most of the water off. I then use a microfiber towel, to dry everything on the outside. I then open all doors, engine compartment, bonnet, and dry all other surfaces, don't forget to do the under side of the door.
Never let any thing dry on the car or wheels.
Hope this helps.

Ditto that leaf blower
I use a leaf blower to get all the water out of the wheel area. It also speeds up the drying process.

The leaf blower is a trick I've been using for years. My neighbors look at me like I have two heads when I'm blowing my cars off, but it works great, especially for the rear engine cover area and wheels, getting all the water out of the crevices.
