997 C2S H&R Springs, are these correct?
997 C2S H&R Springs, are these correct?
can someone help verify that I got the right springs for my C2S?
On the H&R box it reads:
29188-1
Porsche Type 997 WITHOUT SPORT SUSP
Did I get the right springs for my 2007 C2S with PASM?

thanks guys for the response. i checked out the H&R site and confirmed they are the right ones, thanks for sending the link!
i just got done installing them. what a pain in the *** that was but everything worked out great and the springs ride fine.

Don't mean to steal the thread or put a damper (no pun intended) on your springs but is it or isn't it true that aftermarket springs tend to affect the performance and/or life of the PASM shocks.
yup i'm waiting for the springs to settle a bit before doing the alignment.
i can already tell that the ride quality has diminished somewhat with the aftermarket springs. i can also say that the performance of the shocks have been compromised however the lower ride height has helped in overall performance (understeer reduction).
i would imagine that these shocks will die fairly quickly but only time will tell. i do like the ride quality and performance of the stock springs and stock shocks better than the H&r springs + stock shocks, to be 100% honest.
but the ride height is now perfect and how it should've been from factory.... although the front does seem a bit too low compared to the rear (sort of a rake going on). i am hoping that the rears drop a little further down. another interesting note is that the front and rear h&r springs are actually LONGER than the stock springs! but they seem to have a softer spring rate so it allows the car to sit lower??? when installing the fronts i was able to put my body weight on the springs and get the top hat nut threaded, however on the rears i had to use spring compressors and compress the hell out of them to get the nut threaded.
ultimately... a nice coil over set-up would've been better. after i give my body time to heal (from the brutal install) i will pull it all out and do coil overs.
i've also installed 15mm spacers in the rear (h&r) and 7mm in the front and these are a must if you run stock 19 wheels on a lowered car. they bring the wheels out perfectly and fill out nicely. i wish i went with a wider front spacer (12mm would've been perfect). and no issues driving with the spacers, hard cornering, no rubbing, etc, etc...
but i'm sure i'll be tossing the spacers out too and getting proper off set wheels.
anyway, its all fun and games. thanks everyone and i'll try to post pics shortly.

I went from springs to coilovers and wouldn't recommend springs to anyone with a 997S. The coilovers are simply more responsive and ride better and the springs are clearly over sprung to compensate for the lowered suspension travel. It's not that the springs are bad but they aren't built to handle less than ideal surfaces like most people encounter on public roads.
Oh, and for what it's worth, my PASM shocks appeared to not be completely shot after 12,000 miles on H&R springs.

I also had H&R on my Cayenne S and must agree that the ride does become a little choppier, but the drop does def. look nice. I think a good set of coilovers is def. the way to go IMHO.
awesome. post some pix if you get a chance.
