I just spent a few minutes doing a (horrible) photoshop of what I personally think would flow much better with the overall lines, and still go nuts.

Who cares what the man does with his car? If he wants to try something new with the color scheme, then more power to him.
If he doesn't like the outcome after painting the bits; I am pretty sure he can just as easily paint them black.
