7300 miles since mid-june
'07 C4S: broke it in, but not by the book. Numerous excursions past 4,000 RPM, BUT, none sustained.
7300 miles and counting, daily driver in Bay Area - freeways and canyons,
1 qt. in first 1,000 miles. Motor loosened up significantly past 1,000 miles.
Mobil 1 oil change at 5,000 miles

Update
I just recently dropped down one bar @ 5200 miles; so that's about 1.25 quarts in all to date.
No oil changes from new but I will change oil at the 1 year mark as I doubt I'll even have 7500 miles by then. Trying to keep the changes @ 1year or 10k miles whichever comes first.

Occassional short bursts to 7000 rpms
No track use
Fuel: Shell 93oct V-Power mostly
