Anybody here "rebadged?
I have....The logo was a pain in the butt to get though.
I had it put on my 03 996 then transferred it to my 06 997S
Its chrome from the 2000 millenium edition, with a 996 turbo S "S" badge (matching chrome)

Hey gundo.... i just did mine, and it looks great!
My car is the same color combo as yours, guards red with black top. I put a black 911 badge and it was a very nice change. I also did black tips, and smoked tailights, and the *** looks real mean now lol.
Ill get some pictures up for you ASAP, I was just waiting to get the car detailed to get some quality shots.
BTW I got my 911 badge in black from eric (bumper plugs) if im not mistaken it was only like 20 bucks.

Lardog....next time line it up with blue painter's tape, and mark dead center...and remember the numbers are slanted. That way it will be perfectly aligned and centered.
It's not too far off, but it you line it up with your upper deck lid, you can see it is a bit far to the right.
Still a nice look, and from the bumperettes position, looks aligned.

a little weekend diy project i did...bought the flat black "911" badge on ebay...re-sprayed the "4" flat black from my original badge and used "emblem" glue to get that on...and got a brand new 996 c4s "s" from the dealership and had that profpainted guards red...used blue painters tape, a leveling tool, lined/measured everything up and slapped em on

i'm all for rebadging the car as a '911'. i think it's great.
What pisses me off is at the gym i go to, there's a guy with what appears to be a convertible GT2...I think he's even gone so far as to replacing the front bumper with the gt2 one.. but *gasp*... a GT2 Vert?
