Anyone ever cover their rear console with leather? I know you can order it from the factory but I was considering getting covered or painted. Any thoughts.

 

Getting the console covered with leather or painted should be within the reach of any good interior shop or autobody, respectively. My car was supposed to be produced with the aluminum-look finish, actually a special paint, and leather sun visors. Both deleted by the factory for reasons never explained. Had the console taken out and painted in aluminum-look, as well as having the visors covered with matching leather. The cost was similar to the original option prices. My dealer found quality firms to do the work and even gave me a loaner car.

I know Bumper Plugs does rear consoles regularly in various finishes.
