Tuning in germany
Tuning in germany
I have a friend who is german and we were talking about porsches the other day. I was very surprised to hear that according to him any kind of "tuned" porsches are considered wrong and tachy. He told me that no upperclass german would be seen driving a porsche with a techart kit, rims, etc. What I don't understand though is that these are all german tuning companies. Does he not know what he is talking about or do these companies all just cater to other markets?
it s probably because over here the age of tha average p driver is about 65 i think and they dont care for aftermarket wheels, bodykits etc...
you don t see them much even just with other wheels...

I am 41 years old and I think most of the after market front bumpers, side skirts and wings are tacky and remind me of the cheap 1980's turn you Corvette into a look-a-like Ferrari days! I often wonder how much people have screwed up the aerodynamics of there car with these untested bolt on gimmiks.
My next Porsche will have the factory aero-kit and BBS 18 or 19" wheels.

I agree that most body kits are tacky and I think alot of rims that people put on are tacky. But according to him you don't even see cars with the porsche aerokit. According to him they find any kind of body kit, porsche aerokit included, to ruin the lines of the car and looky tacky. Are their cars with the aerokit in germany or is this also really uncommon

We have many upperclass german customers!
Also famous football players, artists and business men.

All of Techart parts are specifically tested in the wind-tunnel so I don't think these will have the car to loose it's aerodynamics...simply impossible.
The fact that Techart is a german company would simply convince me more to buy something from them.
