For those of you getting strung along with cars that completed in July and have not hit yet, there is a delay, and a few rumored reasons for it.

First, the German holiday goes through 8/23 or so, and not much is being done on the German side to move cars out.

Second, the next boat out is supposedly 8/29, on which most of the delayed cars will go.

Third, there is an apparent QC issue with Cayenne V8's, but PAG is not saying what.

Not sure if this helps, but the cars will get here, just later than usual. Some cars are apparently at US port and being held, which is odd, unless they are holding some '08's for launch cars to show first. Who knows.

Anyway, that's the latest news.

 

Thanks for the update. My 997 TT apparently finished production on 7/24 and has been sitting in Germany ever since.

Hopefully it'll make the 8/29 ship.

Well, I guess it gives me more time to order the clear side markers from you.

 

this is not good news.

but wait isn't there someone with a 08 carerra. so how can the port hold the 08s already.

 

Only suggested that as one possibility...who really knows? Give it a week, it will sort out.
