Sound alternative: Evo Intake

I've been debating between PSE, AWE, and Milltek mufflers. I am just looking for a little more aggressive sound, but not overbearing. I'm not really interested in doing headers and cats as I think the 997S has plenty of power as it is (for me, at least).

I had acquired an Evo Intake a while back and was just waiting to install it and whatever mufflers I selected all at once. Well, I was a little bored last night and decided to install the Evo Intake.

I'm quite satisfied with the aggressive growl the Evo Intake makes in the mid to upper RPM range. So much so that I'm going to wait a while on getting mufflers. Too soon to tell if there are any HP gains (I certainly can't feel any, but I've only driven it about 20 miles since the install.). The motor does seem to rev a little bit more freely.

Anyway, just thought I'd throw this out there for any of you folks who are undecided about sound mods.

Ask the forum whether you should flash your chip-ECU with a cold air box addition.

My tuner (Griffin Motorwerke in Berkeley, CA) was offering me a free trial of a Revo flash. I may take him up on the offer.
