Has anyone done the "remote key" mod to their car?

Hey,
I know the "postomatic" again. But I was going to buy the remote key for my car so I can have a audible sound when I lock the car and a few other functions that seem to be really cool. They say you can install it yourself but I would like to here from anyone around here that has maybe tried it first and have their opinions on it.

Here is the link:

Yes. It works great and was not very hard to install. Do a search on the subject.

Yeah i must have read the install instructions over and over. It does not seem so bad. Did you do it all by your self or did you take it anywhere?

Wilhemy remote works well

I have it installed in a 2006 997C2. Slightly confusing to install, but I am not handy. Got it done without much difficulty and has been near flawless since.

Is a big convenience. You'll like it.

Good luck

I use the functions everyday, works very well. Not too difficult to install.

Well i just ordered mine. I cannot understand why this would not come like this from the factory. I am not a big fan of aftermarket alarms but I need the chirp confirmation that the car was locked for piece of mind and also needed the window up one touch and the headlight function. All really cool considering that you use your oem key for it.
I am sure that this will be like a stock item soon enough but I wanted one now. Excited to see how it all works out for me.

The chirp for locking was the single thing I wanted the most. Before I made the Mod I was never sure if I locked the car or not unless I stood right next to the car.
