Hi there, just got my first Porsche, a white C4 with minimum options: Xenon, dimming mirrors and Bose sound. It's such a thrill, except for some minor rattle in the back and slight sqeak in rear suspension. Is that smtg you also experienced?

Hi Phil, congrats on the car. Did you buy it from dealer inventory? Or order the car months ago? Ordered my 4S back at the first week in June, I expect delivery around Halloween (nice color, it's what all the cool kids are wearing)

 

White just looks absolutely stunning on these cars.

 

Beautiful C4. I have an '06 and need to warn you. Don't be surprised if you find yourself in the garage late at night walking around the car and ogling it's bodacious a$$. It happens to me several times a week and I don't think there's a solution.

No squeeks here. Just bring it in and let the techs check it out. Congrats.

 

And oh yeah, get yourself back to the dealer and have them swap out your amber sidemarkers with smoked ones. I paid $56 dollars for mine and my service rep swapped them out right in the service drive in 2 minutes. Makes a big difference and really cleans up the look. Cheap, easy and effective first mod.

My C4 had a rattle in the back. Turned out the back window was not set properly. They took out the side panel, fixed the window, and all is well.

 

Tks to all for yr kind replies and encouragements. I will turn the car back to dealer for rattle and passenger's freaky power window (which I understand is common to all 997).
To Neija, I ordered this car on June 22nd to the dealer who said they had an allocation for a C4 and was able to quote a price on it. The car was built in July, shipped on July 27th and deliverable in NY on Aug 15th. For some bizzare reasons, the dealer had a similar 07 car in inventory but would not discount much so that the 08 ended up cheaper than an 07 due to options that would not really care about.
Vegas please, by "amber sidemarker" you mean the turning lights near the front wheels right? Whiter one would look better indeed.

 

Get the clear sides from eric at bumperplugs, 29$, two miutes DIY. What kinda deal did you get?
