Need Pricing Help for my 2005 997 S (Black)
Supposedly has all the bells and whistles. They are the first cars the dealer sees of a new model. Who really knows..lol

The car was a trade-in for $60K. I'm a good customer there and yes it was a smoking deal, 911S aren't very special here in Chitown and at this time of the year they don't sell well as winter is around the corner. The car was for my brother who opted for a MB.
Byron,
Something in the back of my mind tells me that setting up an auction is fraught with a lot of legalities that you'd rather not get into to, even if the proceeds go to a non-profit.
$67K and you paying the shipping to CA seems like a reasonable deal on both ends.

2005 997S "Launch Car" with a lot more miles :-)

I did not realize you are in Hawaii . I suppose the car is worth more in HAWAII . I only said $60 because of the 911 S for sale in Northern CA . with a supercharger kit and exhaust for $69999 and the car passed smog according to the MBZ dealer that is selling the car.
I think your lower milage loaded car w/ PCCB is worth 65-70 . Depensing on who you are selling it to and where they are obviously a local buyer will pay more . Find someone in HAWAII to buy the car . and sell the exhaust here or on ebay .
Good luck .

$60k is a very lowball offer for a launch car, you can easily sell it for $65+k with that mileage. Even more if you get it CPO'd, factor in at least a grand for shipping it stateside but personally I would have the buyer be responsible for shipping charges and arrangements.

it didn't seem like he mind. thanks for answering my question byron. nice ride btw.
I am not ashamed to say I paid $72k plus shipping for a launch car back in March with 5k miles and was happy to do it. They are tough to come by and have all the right options. I would have jumped on yours for $67k, could've come to see the car and had a nice vacation at Maui FS with the left over money. 6 months later, the credit markets are wreaking havoc on liquidity and economy isn't great, so perhaps it makes sense that the price would come in by $5k...either way it is a beauty, good luck with the sale.
I paid 65K for mine and it had 25K miles on it. If I would have seen it before I bought it I might have paid only 63-64 because of the rock chips all over it. But all said and done, the PCCB's, seats and sport crono will make you happy enough. Not to mention NAv, bose and PASM. Great car and fun to drive. Seats seem more confortable than a ton of other options out there. 65K is more than a fair number and 67K is where it should be! Goodluck again
All 997S Launch Cars were black/black and configured as follows:
Black Full Leather
Floor Mats (black)
Sport Power Seats if Tiptronic
Adaptive Power Seats if 6 Speed
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
Ceramic Composite Brakes
Sport Chrono Package
Navigration for PCM
Bose High End Sound Package
MSRP was approximately $101,700 (mine was)
Of course they were all mid 2004 builds. VIN's were in the 200 to 400 range I believe.
I have #337.
They were offered to dealers so they would have a 997S in their showrooms when buyers came to look. I was told that they could not sell them initially but there has been some conflicting reports that dealers put them up for 'auction' or early sales. PCNA wanted to avoid what typically happened in the past regarding initial introductions (ie. 993, 996, etc). They sold them to the highest bidder or marked them up considerably and therefore have nothing to show prospective buyers during the early days of introduction.
I paid just over $70K in March 2007 for one that had just 9,000 miles. It was bone stock w/ new rear PS2's mounted.
