Dension Update
I don't think so. I am going to try to do the update again tonight, and see if that fixes things. Right now, I am not even getting track/album names . . . which makes me suspect the upgrade. Thanks for all the help.
Captions for excellent pictures
Here is Bluetooth update install, behind glovebox. Basic install back here is similar, but, you must tap into back of PCM FIOS and get electric.

Hello Larry,
Thanks for the photos. Any chance of supplying brief captions/steps in install ?
E-mail me if questions.
OK, update took and i got the text to work when using the GW interface.
Should the text work when you are using I-pod interface?
Also, shouldn't the same text show up under in the tach display (mine says CD5 trck N)? It would be great if it worked like XM.
XM is also working, but I can't use my phone while I am using XM, which could be a huge problem. Any work arounds?
Finally, the volume of the hands free seems very sensitive to the volume on the iphone. Anyway to resolve that issue?
Thanks all.

OK, here is an update. When I first get into the car, the XM works correctly as does the ipod GW. But, if I connect the iPhone to the GW bluetooth kit (it seems to disconnect when I leave the car and fail to connect automatically when I return), then it knocks out XM. Specifically, you can hear the XM audio, and you can go up and down the channels using rewind and fast forward, but (1) you cannot use the pre-set memory buttons; (2) the info shows 630 am, and does not show the station/channel name; and (3) the box on the "audio" screen is empty (i.e., it doesn't show the XM symbol or any text).
Has anyone else experienced this?

Will do Eric. You are always around to take care of questions. I just thought that this may be a simple settings question that one of the guys here could answer over the weekend. I will type my questions into an e-mail and send it to you. Thanks as always!
Todd: here is what Dension is saying for right now (emailed this to you this morning also, thought others might be helped by it):

With the iPhone we know it's not working perfectly on the Bluetooth part until Dension does R&D on it. As far as kicking out the XM and other stuff like that, it should not do that.

Dension has just received it's first Euro iPhone and has been bench testing the issues in Europe to see what can be resolved. They'll report back with the updated info as soon as they complete that testing.

PS
Eric, Thanks for all the extra board effort you are putting into a product that you sell but don't own.
My question to Eric was about the text that is displayed on the PCM screen. When you use the GW (i.e., the controls on the PCM) to navigate, full text is displayed on the PCM screen. By contrast, when you use the iPod to navigate, no text is displayed on the PCM screen: it just says "CD N, Track N"
P.S. Eric, I verified that the XM IS running through the Dension GW. As such, there must be some other explanation.
