lowering with PAsm

Hello

I have 997 c2S with PASM....
I have bought lowering springs Techart but I did not find the lowering sufficient.
And Bilstein coil overs come about the same lowering as the Techart springs that is -2,5cm
Does anyone have suggestions for going lowering and keeping my PASM

I have a set of used H&R springs that I'm considering selling soon since I may go for ohlins/moton coilovers (more track oriented). Let me know if you're interested. From what I hear, these drop your car lower than the techarts/eibach springs.

Also do a search and start looking at photos for the lowered cars. From my prior posts, I found that a good number of the 997 owners on this board have (or had) H&R's, with mixed opinions on them. There's a lot of pics to see how low the drop is.

Yeah, I believe H&R lower it a bit lower. Gradyex on the 997TT forum may also be selling his H&R - he never put them on.

Problem is the TechArt only lowers PASM cars 15mm. You can go either with Eibach or H&R for just springs of which I would go with the Eibach. You can also do the Bilstein PS kit.

thats right, 25mm for non pasm, and 15mm for pasm equipped cars.
whereas eibach, h&r lower by 25mm for both models.
the eibach and h&r versions which are used by other companies, like rinspeed, cargraphic, gemballa ruf usually have better spring rates and i would imagine designed/tuned better.

Many thanks for your replies....
I searched for the Bilstein Ps kit and it seems that they lower max 25mm for PASM. But they offer a set of springs for the coilover which lower again 15mm.....
This makes already 40mm, a lot better I think...
But costs

I prefer buying here from Europe.....as for shippingprobs

Has anyone experienced any problems lowering with just springs w/PASM, such as knocking sounds or bottoming out of struts??

Trying to decide between springs and coilovers; increased quality vs $$$$ spent.

Any help is appreciated

I absouletly love the ride in my Eibach springs for pasm. Perfect drop and like stated the ride feels almost more compliant to me than the stock ride.
I also heard that the H&R's settle a little lower than the Eibach's, FYI but I cannot remember who posted that before.

If you want to do just springs and keep the OEM dampers I say go for TechArt. They only lower the car 15mm w/PASM and they don't lower the car to the point where it will really accelerate damper wear. If you want to go lower than this I would go with the Bilstein PS kit. What would be nice is if the Bilstein kit let you keep a OEM ride height option like a Ground Control allows for the bimmer's. Not to mention you can go custom spring rates and adjust from OEM height to what ever.

I went with Techart because I didn't want to rip my areokit off, on every steep entrance and also felt like they wouldn't wear out the pasm shocks as quick... I like the way my car sits with techarts. It's has a not lowered but the way it should had came from the factory look..lol.

The Bilstein PS is the way to go for cars with PASM from what I have read. I can't wait to get them for my car, but it won't be until late spring unfortunately due to funds.
