Honestly not wild HP for an N/A Viper, but one that will run wide open for 1k miles through the desert needs to be taken on differently than a 1/4 mile car. Quite a few N/A cars have put that power to the wheels with less mods, so this is for sure a mild build. Heck they didn't even break 6k rpm.
Thanks for the information. Is www.Viperalley.com one of the better Viper forums to get good information?

It can be depending on what you're looking for. But if you're the least bit sensitive don't bother, that place is all about the hard core racer guys who break ***** any chance they get. Very aggressive nature, not the dick stroking ****** bags, but a great group of guys.

If you ask a dumb or noobish question, they will hang you out to dry and you'll be done for from the start.

What are you looking for? Shoot me a PM if you have any viper related questions, there isn't much on these cars I haven't taken apart and modified at some point in time.

Anybody who has spent any time in the desert racing these things can appreciate the abuse they have to take.

Plug:
If you can ever do this - do it! I have and it's seriously the most fun I have ever had.

Damon, when did you do the Wide Open Baja tour? Todd Clement and his wife are both amazing guides down in Baja.

These cars are going to be punished this year. The course is just around 1200mi. That is 1200mi of drastic elevation changes, holes the size of VW bugs, cows, spectators, federales. It is going to be one hell of a race.

That is pure insanity and I love it! I can't imagine how much fun it'd be to take that thing out and just whoop on it.
