Anyone blown up a 6L80E yet? I need to know how much these things can hold.

Anyone know of a tranny builder who has taken 1 apart yet and has a method to strengthen it?

We no longer modify or rebuild transmissions. Try Phoenix transmissions at www.phoenixtrans.com

Called the Phoenix guys. He says he's not too confident at HP above 500. Sounds like it will be a while until the R&D has been put into these things to hold 800. Looks like a built 4L80E is in my future.

 

wow, Jet got out of the tranny bus huh? That's a shame, I was just about to have them rebuild a 4L60E I have....will have to go by and see what's going on over there.

I've always heard good things about FLT (Finish line transmissions). They should be able to build you a beefy 6l80e.
