i thought the zr-1 was coming with paddle shifts instead of a manual

I doubt Chevy will come out with something like a "racing version" of the ZR1, as Bob Lutz (or another highly ranked person in the GM hierarchy) said that the Z06 is the definite track focused car and the ZR1 is something that is more "refined" if you wish, but can still kick *** on a track.

Cars pretty quick. I agree with a different driver the time would be a few seconds faster. But then again so would Porsche if they let someone else besides Roehl drive, he's a GREAT driver but let someone else give it a try already...
