Did they open the doors, hood, and trunk when jacking it up as well? You have to on Vettes do to body flex.

You get one dumb kid and thats all it takes. He is looking to buy some KDW 2s so I'm sure Damon could help unless he can get them to comp a set.

Idiots are everywhere. The local bmw dealership decided to throw my new wheels face down on the lip when I took it in for a brake job. My friend works at a respected car shop where a mechanic backs a car out through a closed bay door once a month on average.
I laughed at the comment about keeping the doors and hood open due to flex...good luck finding a shop that goes to that extent..

Reminds me of when I had a Saleen. I took it to the local Ford dealer and they jacked it up on the side skirts thus cracking both skirts. They paid for repairs which, and I prey you do not have the same experience, was a complete nightmare. My car was gone for four months. Should be easier for you though as GM parts are more readily accessible. THEY BETTER PAY !! Are they trying to get out of paying ? God you must be pissed, or your friend that is.

KDW 2's? Those are not good tires for a high performance car. I can't wait to get rid of mine, they're the loudest tires I've used and not the best grip either.

Discount tire is just the name of the place, It's pretty much the same price as any other big name wheel/tire place.

...but they do have like 16-18 yr olds working there often...

On topic: Sucks about the car, hope they are paying for it..

J, I love mine and have been running them for the last year and a half. They have also done well at the track. You have a bad set and I dont know how you could here them over the rattle of your 3rd gen...

Funny guy!

I'm sure the noise level varies by car, but I'm still disappointed with the grip. From now on I'm going to buy tires with less than 300 tread wear rating.

On topic: sucks to see what happened to his car, hopefully they will take care of it.
