Car Jacked
Idiots are everywhere. The local bmw dealership decided to throw my new wheels face down on the lip when I took it in for a brake job. My friend works at a respected car shop where a mechanic backs a car out through a closed bay door once a month on average.
I laughed at the comment about keeping the doors and hood open due to flex...good luck finding a shop that goes to that extent..

Crap happens and you have to roll with the punches. Nothing is intentional and even the best places make mistakes. Sometimes it is nothing more than asking them to make sure they A) Show them the mounting points to refresh their memory or educate them B) Ask them to please be careful of using a socket without a rubberized covering C) Do they mind if you watch.
Asking these questions makes them aware that you are around and respect their service but at the same time want to make sure nothing goes wrong. They appreciate it more if you do those things than to just SCREAM AND YELL at them for being ignorant. They are not taught to ask questions because of their lack of direct dialogue with the customers.
