Shelby Cobra
My buddy's dad built two '65 Shelby Cobra's with Carroll Shelby.

That direct exhaust makes it sound like a couple of the loudest cars I've ever heard... he already got a noise violation ticket

Nice. I love the original Cobras'. A guy I work with has the orignial 1966 Prototype. He was delivering to a lady in Spanish Fork, UT and he found out her recently deceased husband was the team leader for designing the AC Cobra. When he left Shelby, Carroll personally asked him which car he would like as a thank you gift. He opted for the prototype. It has never seen oil or fuel in its engine. The guy I work with asked her how much she wanted for it because she said it was taking up garage space. She said $3,000.00! He said alright came back that afternoon with the cash, a truck, and an enclosed trailer. I have personally seen the car and it is B-E-A-UTIFUL!

The red one was sold at a charity auction for 560k in beverly hills. Carroll autographed the passenger side airbag cover. i'll see if I can get a picture of Carroll in the cars. It's funny because no matter where he pulls into with the Shelby, everyone takes pictures of it and all sorts of car a larms go off. It's kind of rare to see people pull out their camera phones for cars around bel air because you see ferraris and lambos daily but nothing beats a classic.
I cant believe a cop gave a noise violation ticket for a car like that. What a tool he must have been. I was driving behind a shelby a while ago and never has my car felt so insignificant...that thing received so much attention. It did sound like a beast I must say....But people should pay the owner for the privilege of hearing such music to the ears.
