My old '70 Chevelle

Just sold her a few weeks ago . She is driving around somewhere in Miami now.

I bought the car when I was 18 as a daily driver and put a mild 350ci crate motor in it and TH200R4 trans. The car put 297hp to the wheels which was modest, but again it was built as a daily driver on an 18 year old's budget. The last four or five years it has just sat in my garage as my focus switched to my race cars, which is why I sold it. I know I know the wheels are the wrong size, but I didn't know much about cars when I bought them. With the racing hobby soaking up all of my cash, I never got around to switching them for something better.

Beautiful. One of my designers is working on his '70 - it makes me happy whenever someone saves a car like that.

Those are two gorgeous Chevelles, just starting my 70 El Camino on 19 year old's budget. Hope it looks as clean as those when I am through.

Beautiful Chevelle! It's hard to let them go. I sold my '70 El Camino SS 396 last year after 26 years of ownership. I had it on the road course at B.I.R. several times. It went to a guy in Oregon who races vintage Porsches at Portland Intl. Raceway. He said he'd track the El Camino as well.
