Found a GTS now to look at too. Now it's between a roe supercharged modded out gen 1 and a stock gts....leaning towards the gts now.

 

The brakes on the '01 GTS are excellent, they engineered the ABS really well, better than any car I have driven except maybe the 996 GT3 cup. I think the GTS looks better than the SRT but the new ACR looks awesome too. I narrowed my search for an '01 or '02 with low but SOME miles and so far am happy with my purchase though it was A LOT more than $35K with only 5K miles.

 

I love my 99 GTS,i found a 98 GTS last week for 35k and it only had 16k miles on it.

 

Brakes on 96 to 00 are not terrible. If you felt that way, a simple Brembo or Dave's Big Brake kit could have easily taken care of the "issue".

The Gen II's are hard to beat as far as upgrade capacity, forged internals makes them complete BEASTS!!!!

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. Seriously though, who in the Hell put that up and thought it looked good? Certainly the mods are Euro car guys and not fans of American cars.
