Some pics of my Underground TT Viper
fwiw to those not in the "know"...that gearbox is the same in the 997 porsche cup car and is a true racing trans. It is honestly one of the best in the biz, but also one of the most "interesting" to use. Its actually generally a ***** to use as it requires quite a bit of force and VERY particular rev matching to avoid sweet gear grinding and clutch burning...but by FAR one of the most rewarding/expensive experiences ever ( they run around 16k and require rebuilds after XXX hours). I cant imagine how awesome your setup is to drive as obv, the cups only have 420-450 hp and that sucker has to have at least 800 wheel on pump gas...my god...that is a car...
I'm not sure how the box is run in a "cup" car, in my car it's setup on the upshift to ignition cut briefly by the motec ecu when the gearsift is pulled, unloading the drive train for a splitsecond, then bang you are off again. the upshift is just a firm flick of the wrist!!! On the downshift, i clutch the car, I just don't have the skillset (or cojones) to clutchless downshift yet.
On pump the car is a little north of 1,000 ish @ the wheel, don't remember excactly.

Dear god man 1k on pump is insane. As for the holinger box, that's the cost from holinger for a standard sequential box, with certain varients being more/less. The rsr box is near 40k, but doesn't run the same components. And ya, the ignition cutoff is just as u said. Its really one of the most awesome things to find in a car. I've never met anyone man enough to have one in a street car either. You are the man.

the holinger box for the viper was a bit more than $16K, like $21K if memory serves me.

Very dope setup man. Sick. WIsh I could do some of these mods(been wanting a trans setup like that for years now). Sick s*it.
What a GORGEOUS car you have!!! I am in the market for a z06 and saw this because I've always dreamed about a viper! However the stability of them has always made me shy away. If companies are going to start coming out with the ACR body bits then I might reconsider!
Once again LOVE your car!
Enjoy it in good health!

You can buy the ACR aero from Dodge.
So how is the trans holding up? Has it been to the track yet?
BTW, I've always thought the gen II GTS was the best looking viper ever built, but seeing your car has made me rethink that! Super sweet car!!!

trans is holding up fine (so far). car has been to track for TNT, no serious times run (most likely won't run 1/4 mi times with the holinger box). Taking the car to march tx mi, we'll see how it does there.
Man that thing makes me miss my 04 Mamba. Make sure you post some video of your Texas Mile performance.
Very impressive car...the nicest Viper ive seen. Cant wait to see it in person at the TXmile
