Points well taken. It is a tank I agree, I had a black one awhile back and was disappointed with the performance so I traded it for the Z. I know I just contradicted myself but I guess the KR just appeals to me right now ... and the price is right. The SHELBY name has been diluted true just like Oldsmobile and the Series one fiasco that nearly killed ol' Shel battling in court. Man I REALLY need to think about this. I wonder if the SS will sell at MSRP.

The wheels are weak. The funny part of it all is that the wheels I posted actually cost more !! Try and figure that one out.

yes its slow but its not that slow 11.92 @ 120 for a stocker(11.58 on tires) is moving. it also pulls over a g on the skidpad with stock tires!

Where's the link for those times? I've yet to see ANY times anywhere near those for a stock car....

i believe its mmff run(evan smith) of the car. remember its has different tune, suspension and tires over the stock gt500. svt took away the 20 inch wheels off the ss just so they could reach performance goals!

Well, first off no "normal" driver could match Evan Smith's times. And that car isn't stock....so it's times are kinda meaningless. A stock one has a hard time running 12.50's.

they ran the stock gt500kr down to the tires(11.98 @ 120)! the gt500kr comes with 540 hp stock!

like i said before the kr is a good .4 faster and 3 mph faster than the normal gt500!

The shorter gears account for that. Drove the blue one and was really impressed with how much stiffer/better it felt. The only thing that I hated was I had to get out and hand the keys to the owner. Soon she will be mine and I can't wait. If,however, it does not workout I am impressed with the 09 CTS-V and may go that route even though it lacks the curb appeal and nostalgia of the KR.

Let me repeat myself, Evan Smith is the best of the best. No other driver will be able to match those times. And nobody else has....

He ran a 12.8 in a bone stock '99 Z28, the best all the mags could muster was like a 13.5. I never saw anyone else run those times at the track either.

Also remember, Evan Smith powershifts. Most owners won't subject there car to that.
