shelby gt350
not restored? got pics?
Sorry no pics, just saw the car today.... I'm not a big shelby fan but I'm also not stupid. If its a good deal I'll take it and flip it. Body looks great, the hood is a bit uneven, but I guess the hoods were fiber glass I guess and its old. The headers and the starter are not stock. The interior is relatively worn, concidering its age but not bad. Its got some wear on the wood steering, and door panels, with some cracks in the seat. Did not get to see the under carriage but car is available for closer inspection if I choose to do so.
Yes. Numbers match. Everything is original as is. Guy also showed me carrol shelby's signature on the visor.... I figured even the new ones get his signature
well, if Carroll ever threw up in it then it's worth a lot more
seriously, if it is numbers matching and hasn't been restored it is worth a lot depending on how good all the original stuff is (paint, interior, mechanicals)...suggest you contact someone like Wayne Carini who would know what that car is worth now and what it would be worth with a proper restoration...best option in this market is to buy it well, clean it up as best as you can and sell to someone willing to do a proper restoration..unless you are a collector yourself...

68 not th ebest year. gt350 prices usually less than gt500. saw a gt500 #s match go for 90k. 4 speed or auto? if 4speed, at 10,1 5k, maybe.
and that gt500 was nicely restored, #s matching, auto. 90k
i'd hate to suggest lower. but at one of these auctions, it might not get much at all. better ,more choice, restored options out there.
jus tmy 2 cents.

don't let that throw you...unrestored numbers matching cars often sell for more than a restored car that wasn't done correctly or wasn't a frame off...agree that the GT350 is less desireable than the GT500...isn't just the search a lot of fun...good luck

Not really in the market for one...but if its a bargain, I'd be interested... just got offered from an acquaintance. Now a 288 gto for a bargain price, now thats a quest!
Gt350
The 350 was not a fast or sought after as the others. Many will say the last good 350 was 66 and even then it was watered down from the 65. 68 was the year Ford took over really building the cars and Shelby wanted out. The car you talk about, needing to be restored and all may be worth 50-60k..maybe. Its hard to say what it would be worth restored because different peoples view of "restored" is vast.

I've got a 67 Mustang Convertible GTA and have friends with Shelbys. The best advice I can provide if you are serious is to talk to a few professional appraisers specializing in Shelby's or at least Mustangs near where the car is for sale.
Then move to the in person appraisal if you are going to buy. Unfortunately clones are fairly easy to create and a good appraiser will find it quickly along with whatever issues the car will have. He can tell you how much to pay as well.
Once you get into older cars for investmet purposes the rules change.
