Actually 2nd-gen are the really the best bang for the buck due to the cost of the car buy-in. I have seen 2nd gens put down 600whp after lowering comp with just forged piston and then bolt-ons.
I haven't seen many Gen 3 cars put down 600rwhp, unless you consider a Paxton a bolt on.

I don't consider any F/I a bolt on. Maybe you have a different oppinion? I don't understand your comment on lowerinig compression, with bolt ons?

Have a look at DCs recent post with results from their dyno day. I realize you have some experience, but I don't see how you can argue the fact that Gen4s respond better to basic bolt ons.

Agreed and thats all I am talking about. The new Venom ecu/ throttle-by-wire system are in the way right now for the 4th gen to do heavy modding. With the 8.4 liter engine/Venom ecu and re-newed charging system, true side exhaust system(no x-over) and front hood is really the only differences from the 8.3 liter 3rdgen ( No Frame changes). Almost all of that the 3rd gens can mod up to making 600BHP with intake, aftermaket side exhaust/high-flow cats, headers and ecu.(I am beyond there already!!).

All Vipers are monsters but the latest Gen Viper is just a demented beast especially with just the usual bolt ons.

Agree to disagree. I was talking rear wheel numbers, BHP is of no use to me. F/I wise sure the previous platforms are easier. But for true bolt on mods and a tune, 600rwhp (or within stones throw) doesn't come much easier on ANY platform.
