New guy: help me decide

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum but i've had a ton of sports cars, mostly muscle cars. 93 Camaro Z28, 98 Trans Am, 98 Cobra, 01 Trans Am (put a Procharger on it), 02 BMW M3, 99 Viper GTS, 07 Mustang GT

I currently have the stang but it isn't really doing it for me power wise so i'm looking for a new car in the $40k-50k range. I liked the Viper i had a lot, looks wise and the raw driving style.

My current options i'm trying to decide between are another 96-99 Viper GTS, C6 Z06, 02+ 911 Turbo, 2010 Mustang GT500.

I'm leaning towards the Viper and right now i'm looking at a couple 97 B/W, one has 6500 miles and is $47000, and the other has 9800 and is $44900. The Z06 is probably my 2nd choice.

Anyone have any suggestions?

You had a '03 Z28, I'd love to see that!

Can't go wrong with a Z06, but I am biased....

Mostly i think it's between the Z06 and the GTS. I loved the Viper i had that's why i'm partial to them, but i've never driven a Z06.

I'm not a huge fan of the 03+ style, even though i know the interiors are nicer and they drive better.

I love the GTS coupes...... and they do/can make power. Are you looking a a daily driver??

Regardless of anything, buy what you want,.......but I would buy a C6 Z06,... nthrow on some long tubes, a vararam, lower it,.. tune it.... make like 480-500 at the rear tire,.. and enjoy a ten second daily driver.

It'll mostly be a "drive a lot in the summer" car, store it in the winter. Probably drive it to work here and there. I had no issues with the last Viper i had ever feeling uncomfortable driving it. I should probably just go test drive a Z06 to compare.

If you are looking at GT500's wait 'till Dec and ordere 2011; FINALLY with ALUMINUM block

Headers, 4.10's, pulley swap, meth, tune... DONE! Mid 10second car w/ good set of wheels;

Add a Kenne Bell Mammoth 2.8, looking at 9's

I love the 96-97 B/W Vipers but am partial to the Gen 3's. Even better with a Corsa to eliminate the x-over exhaust and reduce cabin heat. I'd go with a Viper for weekends but a Z06 for a DD.

Off topic,..what part of OH-IO?... I was born in Cleveland... raised in Florida. Lots of FAM in Cleveland still,... just got back actually.

Topic.
The Z06 to me feels great but,.. I think you should drive one with a TUNE(even a predator programmer from diablosport picks up 20rwhp and removes the TORQUE management on these cars.... which really kills performance). It is an impressive car but, again , the TORQUE management makes it alot more docile,.. change the tune alone, and the car is a whole different animal.

I have only driven my buddies 2000 ACR(at 180+mph a few times).... so I have never driven another viper. Been in a few, a sean roe car,... I like the car ALOT but,.. I am a diehard chevy guy. I like the viper alot though. Had the pleasure to race many.

That's cool, i'm in Canton. Been here all my life. Don't like it much here but my job rocks so i guess i'll live with it.

I think i'm going with the Viper. The one i found is a 97 B/W with 10k miles, plus has full exhaust as well as a ton of suspension/brake upgrades. I just love the style too much over the Vettes.
