Spolier ALERT: ZR1 vs V10 R8
No kidding....jeez.
Wow, I lost a TON of respect for Clarkson over that too. He magically knew how to drive a high-hp, rear wheel drive car a few months ago when he was in the states, abusing the ZR1 on Chevy's dime, but now he forgot? What a biased hack.

Guess you can't read either considering I clearly stated not talking about engine problems. Vettes are great cars, but there is no excusing your all plastic interior, sorry.
I'm just messing with you. I have no idea why the ACR hasn't been tested, but the King of the Ring is the POS Gumpert Apollo. Before you post anything, I have seen one in person and it looks like a nice kit car and ran a very lowly 158 mph through the Tx. Mile this past October. It was a huge disappointment to me and my friends.
For the record, that particular Gumpert is the very first one ever built. The reason that the fit and finish is not to production car standard is because it's not one of their production cars, it's the original prototype. The actual production version is what you would expect from somebody that spent 30 years with Audi. It is in no way whatsoever a P.O.S.
In regards to the TX Mile, that run was for data acquisition only. It was not an attempt at a top speed pass. Given the vehicles 2700 lb curb weight and 700 hp, common sense alone dictates that it's good for more than 158 mph.
If you are not a fan of the car that is certainly your prerogative but all you had to do was approach one of us at the Mile and we could have and would have explained all of these things to you. To say negative things about the vehicle simply because you are not educated is a bit juvenile. We are always happy to discuss the vehicle anytime you would like.

BTW, nice running Porsches you had out there. I guess you brought out 1/2 your A-game. lol

. The disappointment my friends and I felt were from what we observed. The car maybe capable of 200 mph, but it surely did not run it that day. The car may be well built but it sure as hell did not look like it that day. I have seen many exotics and other vehicles alike and have been impressed, and I did not have to know the history behind the car in order to be impressed. If you are going to the Big Show, you need to bring your A-game, homie.

"I wrote about what I observed. I didn't know the history of the car or it's capabilities or lack of"
That is exactly my point, you posted that the car is a P.O.S. when you don't even know the history of the vehicle. There isn't a 1st run prototype of any vehicle, from any manufacturer, anywhere, that has perfect fit and finish.
You say that you have seen many exotics in the past and have been impressed and did not have to know the history to be impressed. How many of those were the very first prototype of that particular vehicle?
"If you are going to the Big Show, you need to bring your A-game, homie". Really? The "big show". Our "A game". What are you, eight years old? By the way, what game did you bring? How many records do you hold at the mile, Homie?
Finally, are you seriously talking trash about the Porsches that we build? We pump out some of the baddest machines on the planet, bar none. For you to make an ignorant comment about our Porsches is mind boggling. I am sure there are quite a few people on this forum that will be interested to see that you find it amusing that we had a couple scary incidents at speeds over 200 mph. In the professional world we try to have a little more respect for fellow enthusiasts than that. You should give it a try.

I hold no records or have an exotic, but for what a Gumpert costs, it should be done right, the first time around. Don't be a Daffodil and get your panties in a wad, because the I thought the Gumpert was a disappointment.
What are you rambling on about? I never insulted your Porsches, I said you brought some nice running Porsches out there. How do you take that as an insult?

You accomplished to sell a car that is over-priced POS kit car. My vote goes to you for car salesman of the year. Nice.
I can see the dealerships now. No! I don't want a Lamborghini nor a Ferrari, give me that warthog looking thing there in the corner, The GUMPERT!!!
Guess you don't know what you type then? This is the post I quoted. No where is "not talking about engine" problems" said. And I don't really care about the interior. I track my cars and am not a poser like most....the powertrain and platform is what I care about. If I want a fancy interior I'll buy a Caddy.
And I'd love for you to quote where I wrote anything about their engines being faulty/weak. Do I believe your glorified Chevy's are strong as rocks? No. Obviously their quality isn't the worst though. So lets see it champ, where besides now did I mention engine? Maybe you're just illiterate?
BTW. I absolutely love my friends Z06 and giggle like a little girl everytime I'm in it, and by no means am I bashing Vettes, I'd just love to see where I specifically said engines, thats all.

Poser, eh? lol my stage 2 was beating stock C5 Z06's. I'm sorry, but if you were as "hardcore" as you try to make yourself seem you wouldn't be driving a C5 Z06. Just my opinion. Just because you like to have a fast car w/ a nice interior doesn't make you a poser. Stupid analogy if you ask me. To each his own of course.

My C5Z is quicker/faster then 99% of the cars on the road. On the drag strip or road course. It's far from stock, I have a SCCA license, and have been racing in some form since I was about 17. So yes, to me most are posers. Do I really care about the interior in my Z, nope. It's just fine what what I use it for. I have two other cars with nice interiors that don't have roll cages....Happy Thanksgiving!

Are you stupid? Seriously you must be considering you're 33 and clearly senile, ignorant, or illiterate, which one is it champ? I keep referring to this post "Guess you don't know anything about the LSx engines...." What am I twisting up? Better yet, you know what don't answer that question. A God like you shouldn't be talking to a "poser" like me since I have a Carbon Fiber interior that is clearly for show, but I'm a poser for whatever reason. Enjoy your FASTER THAN ANYTHING CORVETTE there bro, and maybe you might wanna change your 405 bhp Avatar picture, and state your mods in your sigs because you look like a poser as well, Zeus. Enjoy that Vette and hopefully..... just hopefully it's a fast as you say it is, considering you're gloating and all, but hey who can compete with a God like you, right?
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving though.

And the reason I don't post in my sig my cars specs is because I don't feel the need to, people who know me know what I drive. I also don't post in my sig cars I used to own like a used car salesman.
And if you aren't refering to engines like you keep on saying your not, well then let's see some proof of how a R8 is sooooo much more reliable then the ZR1 like you keep saying....................
