Wheels for my Z HRE/D2/360???

Ok guys, Im looking for the right wheels to set off my Black C6Z.

I like the HRE 590r/790r/798r & the D2 VS1, and the 360 mesh 8/10 the best.

Anyone have pics of these wheels on any car in brushed/chrome lip also satin black face /chrome lip?

Thanks in advance

A year ago I never would have thought I'd put HRE last, but for those wheels, in this order:
  1. D2
  2. 360 Forged
  3. HRE

I'd probably put ADV.1 on the top of the list, but since they aren't mentioned, no biggie.

I guess that it is just personal preference. What turns me off with some of the other high priced wheel brands is that they use inferior, Chinese forgings

Any info on this? I haven't seen much. Chinese and bad quality aren't always hand in hand (i.e. Shoei helmets), at the end of the day it's human labor either by hand or operating machinery.

I have friends in the industry, so that's how I know. Its not my intention to spoil the thread, but I suggest that people do their research when spending that much money on wheels.

I wanted to chime in here so that correct information is being passed along to the 6Speed community. The first photo is an old HRE 550. This wheel was made approximately 15 years ago. This wheel has never been manufactured in our facility under the new management that took over approximately 13 years ago. HRE has always used Forgings that were sourced here in the US. We have used the same raw material supplier for the last 13 years. Also, HRE is a TUV verified company. This means that everything from our Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Customer Service meet the most stringent standards in the world.

The other photos are 100% NOT HRE Wheels! While it is pretty common knowledge which brands these are, I can say that not one of these wheels used a Chinese forging, and one of them was actually cast magnesium.

+1 for Guy and HRE
