the 05 LS2 GTO 6-speed is the first FAST V8 muscle car I had ever driven... this was back in 05 I was 17 in H.S. my boy got one ... sent it to vette doctors full exhaust system dyno tuned, crazy suspension work..
car was insane... since then he sold it
but im still holding GM down with my z06

oh without a doubt. i bought the car with the inake and a magnaflow exhaust (later replaced by corsa) on it already. after i put headers on it, the car baselined on a dynojet at 360ish, and after tuning it put down 391 to the tires from basic bolt ons. as the car sits now, i have no idea what it would put down on a dynojet. it has since been retuned on a mustang dyno after quite a few changes, and the power curve is entirely different. its amazing what a good tuner can squeeze out of these cars and any lsx platform. luckily my tuner is my boss lol, so he tweaks my tune for free anytime i make a change. he's gonna teach me the tuning basics and i'm gonna start learning that aspect of it. i've done all the wrenching on my car, so thats no sweat, but when it comes to electronics and PE/VE tables, its all greek to me lol
Yeah that sounds about right. Looking back, I think the dynojet I was on was a little older and probably generous with numbers lol. I'm not gonna post my final numbers on the mustang dyno, but ill say the power curve a MD250 generates is really nice. My tuner was able to get it nice and smooth and the car just does wonders for the power it makes. I like the mustang dyno due to the ability to generate load and simulate road conditions. Yeah, its a little stingy with numbers, but that's ok. Numbers are just numbers.
I have been long tempted to do the ECS N/A cam pack on my z06 ...
I was on the phone with the guy there (there right by my house and really friendly ) and he mentioned I can put down 640-660 RWHP for about 4k including work
I really would liek to do that so my plan is to ... finish the loan and at the same time let the factory warranty run out...
then pick up another nice car ... probably a porsche or AMG benz
then send it to ECS ... what is cool is they warranty it for 2yr/24k since its an internal engine mod.. pretty much it will be like a powertrain warranty
the engine is like 15k so that is my main concern .. trans can be rebuilt easy ... lol
