Ford GT or Aventador

If choosing one to buy, which one?

Ford GT or Aventador?

Which one and why?

Both have their +'s

Except for the sexy exterior the Ford GT has not much to compete with. The Aventador is THE supercar to buy at the moment imho.
i like it even better than the Veyron.

- Audi Build quallity
- a straight-line & track monster
- V12!!

FGT is not even close to Avantador. FGT is a great car that can make lots of power with minor mods. But you are comparing apples to oranges. Price point is about 2.5x higher on the Lambo.

Agreed, although the GT powertrain is great, it's fit and finish is still FORD.

Lambo all day if $ no object.

The Ford GT will always have the appeal of being an American car, but the Aventador kills it performance wise...

Now this Lambo would be a different story;

The Miura that should have been built.

Ford GT can be bought in the 150-ish range and you are 2.5 times that for the Lambo. If $ is no object, it won't be kept for long and you want the latest, then the Aventador is the ticket. The FGT won't lose $ and will probably be worth more in 10 years than the Lambo...

You've never seen a FGT up close then?

Fit and finish is top shelf.

No doubt the Lambo is awesome, but trust me when I tell you that Ford GT owners aren't sweating the fact they aren't driving an Aventador.

These inane comparisons of two cars with 7 years and > $200k between them are LOL worthy.

Your arguments are sound. Have you been following FGT prices lately? $150ish is a couple years ago. Nice cars are knocking on 180-250 depending on the Paint. Yes paint.

I do and have, but not real close. I've seen asking prices up a bit, but that's asking . I know paint means a lot but have not seen anything north of 180. I'm sure a red one could be had 150-ish ...

Even if I had the price difference in the bank, I'll take supercharged V8 right behind my head all day long.
