Not a lot of SUV's belong in the American Muscle section - but the 2012 GC SRT8 sure does.

it is a pretty sweet ride, if i had to haul kids around i would probably get this or maybe the cayenne

Amazing SUV... So cool in so many ways but... I'd take the porsche over it just for the customer service experience... Jeep service departments are terrible... Especially when spending $60k.... Jeep seems to employ only blithering idiots and the rudest people from the bottom rung of society...

 

I test-drove one a week ago and it drives very well. Strongly considered if I sell my Saab. Will also go see X5 and Cayenne but it takes 10's of thousands more to get close.

 

I love these, but don't like how they tuned the power back from the old one, correct me if I'm wrong, the new ones are slower

 

I loved the last gen SRT Jeeps, but NO WAY am I spending 60k+ on a Jeep if any kind
Plus my X5 will beat the hell out of it.LOL

 

Can't say that I disagree completely ... but the SRT-8 does have a strong attractive force with all the power and sound you get from it!

 

Slower yes but they have more power. 470hp compared to 425(?) on the previous models. Just heavier I believe.

 

I've heard softer, but no accurate tests that show whether it's faster or slower than the old one.

They're a good 500 lbs heavier

 

I like them but would never buy that new. Wonder how this does on the deer test compared to the regular jeeps that almost flip.

 

Those were BS staged tests, suspension in Rock mode (fully raised) and 1500lbs of cargo placed inside the SUV so it would roll. Those Swedish idiots did that for a cover shot to sell more magazines. Jeep went over there and did their test 11 more times, with 3 other Jeeps and nothing happened. Then the Stunt driver told them the truth...

Look into it...

 

Buy one, and take it to Stage 6 Motorsports to get a single turbo kit

I rode in one of those bad boys and it is no joke!! Those things have been heard to run in the 9's which is crazy fast!! Previous generation of course. I'm sure these new ones will be modded quite quickly as well.
