i saw this in person yesterday and have to say im really liking
the design maybe the best in the detroit auto show,
as to drivability it looks to be cramped in there the way the
cockpit tapers. some very forward design cues.

 

Current speculation from Detroit is under 3000lbs and more than 600hp. It may be higher than 650hp.
This was built and designed for one purpose, to race. While the 05 GT was designed as more of a street car if you can call it that.

 

Any details?
Dual Clutch?
5 speed, 6 speed?
active suspension?
Traction control?
Stability control?
Or will it be a no electronics vehicle like the last GT.

 

Dual clutch 7 speed.
The suspension is electronically controlled and lowers on the road or track. It raises in front for dips and or speed bumps.
The rear spoiler is pretty trick all electronically controlled for aero and even can act as an air brake.
The tub and body is all hand laid carbon fiber, with the front and rear suspension components aluminum.

That's what we know now.

 

When I think carbon fiber tub, rear wing active aero with air braking, 7 speed double clutch turbo charged mid engine RWD, dihedral doors, I think McLaren.

I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
