Engine Replacement

Does anybody have a lead a good place to get a smog- legal engine replacement in the So- Cal area? I have an "84 Chevy El Camino with a tired and oil- leaky 350 and wanted an upgrade that would still pass smog. Dealer quoted $4000 for a 200 horse 350 but seems way over priced especially with regards to horse power.

I was hoping to find a place that would swap an older Camaro, Vett engine...

Thanks

Sameer
