Regardless of taste, the engineering is impressive.

That's about as "street legal" as an F-16.

Cool, but I'd rather have half the power with normal tires and the ability to turn.

No, but it does have 2 cup holders!

Here are a couple shots of the rear and the 15 gallon chilled water tank. This feeds chilled water thru stainless tubing inside the frame, to the intercooler then back. Actually, the shot may be showing the gas tank. I believe the chilled tank is behind that.

cheers

The car has mufflers... kinda. That is what the slightly expanded part of the downpipe is. And turbos do a decent job of keeping things quiet at that.

Motor details? I'm guessing a DRCE prostock BBC? Looks like 47-80's for the turbos.

Car should get down the track pretty quickly, though I hate to say it but a good friend of mine is building something similar on a modern chassis/body and it will crush that thing.

Oh and enjoy street driving that lenco, planetary gear trannys suck ***** to downshift.

I was at the good guys show today and got a few pictures for you. There was a decent crowd around the car so they're not great, but PM your email address.

So you drive around in 6-point harnesses? Or does it have a street legal 3-point?

I was wondering what Moran was up to lately...how involved was he in this? Just the engine build or more?

an update

Spoke with the owner, Rod, recently. He finally took the vette to the track for some shakedown runs. He's down to a 7.092 at 194mph or so. Still some more tweaks to do.

The car was at SEMA where it was voted one of the 10 most outrageous cars there. Come spring time he's going to bring the Vette out to our Sunday morning Church of the Holy Donut meet.

Here's a link to the one run http://ywnv.vidiac.com/video/a9e2c44...c9001f5d43.htm

By any standards, this car is wild.
regards

ken

Paint job isn't my style but the car is awesome, I think I would just roll around town with the fenders, hood, and bumper off so people could see the beauty that lies beneath
