Staying in your seat with..........

an additional support belt for the track.

I am considering using an additional velcro belt around the chest area to better hold me in my factory seats.

Anyone else use anything like this? It is actually an extra long fly fishing waist belt.

At a few events I've seen different people sell velcro straps that you can use around your chest. Personally the biggest problem I have with the adaptive seats is not enough thigh support, I end up using my knees as braces and the chest strap wont help with that.

Other than that, depending on your body type, it may make it a bit more difficult to breathe.

I wish I coulda got the GT2 racing seats, I believe they are back reclin-able and look unbelievable.

To this point, I have not experienced a need to use my knees for support, but I noticed I may have my seat a little too far back.............I only say that because I have been experimenting on the back roads moving the seat up some and it does feel better. My legs are long, but it is still OK.

As I progress, I will look at replacing seats. I have a couple of friends with different racing seats and I will have to try theirs out.

We shall see as I progress. I am moving to Nitto N01 tires for the next track event which should allow for harder turn-ins and that might have an effect of body bracing.

Thanks for your response...........Jack

I highly suggest the CG-Lock. www.cg-lock.com then your hips will be firmly held in place. Then you can recline you seat back all the way and jerk the shoulder belt like in a panic stop and it will lockl in place and you can bring your seat back up so the shoulder belt stays locked and tight in place.

But, a harness is ultimately the way to go....I have and do this. It is quite effective.
