I have an 08 TT and after 1 year and 3500 miles, it is telling me that I need an oil change. I usually do not put many miles on my 911's, and always make it to the 2 year mark for the first service/ oil change. My dealer(service dept) is telling me that it can be needed after only 600 miles....Has anyone else experienced the need to change the oil such little use

 

I think 08 997TTs need 1 year minor maintenance...07s need 2 years. I changed at 2K mi after break in. Probably overkill...do a search. Many opinions.

 

I did an interim olil change at 2500 miles. Not really necessary but I like the idea of flushing out the original oil and any particles that may have come loose post-assembly. There are presumably lots of pros and cons and there are a number of threads on this topic on the 6 and Rennspeed.

 

I live in a relatively dusty environment and I change the oil every 2500 miles. It's overkill I know, but look at this practice as cheap insurance. It gives the techs a chance to look the car over for things I may have missed.
