Maggie Supercharged C5 Corvette Z06: POG Build with Pics ***

Hi Guys,

I thought I would take a moment to profile one of our Corvette builds here while our new website is in the works. What we have is a 2003 Corvette C5 Z06 with very low miles. We started awhile back with a basic Magnuson SC Kit and base tune. Since then, we have added a few things such as Vararam Intake, FI Performance Gauge Package (featuring SPA Boost/FP Gauge and AEM Wideband) where we also "flocked" the A-Pillars. A MGW Shifter took care of the long shift throws. Wetoakley seat covers to match with the exterior color and powdercoated OEM wheels to give her some attitude on top of the RK Sport hood. Getting the Specterworks Headlights to sit/fit well was no easy task and is par for the course when it comes to this type of installation. Keeping all the power down to the ground was taken care of by a set of Bilstein Sport Shocks and H-SPort Sway Bars front and rear.

Future mods for this Z06 include a dose of Meth and a full tune for spring time driving.

Very nice Corvette. What kind of power output are you getting with it?

She feels like she is in the 475-500 whp area. It is the base Maggie tune which is very safe, a/f's are at 12.3 up top with a +/- 8 psi @ 6500... When we do the Meth, I will get her on a dyno. The last 2 places I headed the performance division I had a dyno on site, at POG, we will be getting one at some point, not sure when though. I also compared this Z06 against my C5 Z that makes just under 600 whp on a Procharger D1 custom rig.

I would be very surprised if that car puts down 500 hp with the current conservative tune.....that would be an almost 150 hp jump from stock, all that without injectors, headers or x-pipe etc.

Sweet C5 though, love the yellow/blk combo!!

Magnuson systems have the injectors as part of the kit pre-assembled, 42lbs. It is very easy to get 150-200 hp gain on even the weakest kits on a LS6. I don't have headers either and I am near 600 to the ground and have all sorts of dyno #'s for different phases on my car. It is very easy to make big power on the LSx motors, keeping the driveline together is another story.
