LET Motorsports - Stage II Tuned E55 AMG
LET Motorsports - Stage II Tuned E55 AMG
Many thanks go out to Tony, Jerry & Wayne all of LET Motorsports and EuroCharged Performance in Plainfield, IL (letmotorsports.com) Their superior customer service and vast knowledge clearly showed through and they were by far, the best tuners I have worked with.
I recently purchased an E55 AMG that was bone stock and babied. I started researching the 4-5 tuners that were available to the Benz world and was pleasantly surprised to find LET Motorsports in IL. Not only did they seem to be the best rated tuners for my ride, but they were only 20 minutes from my house.
Now onto the Parts & the Results of my Family Saloon...
PARTS
First run was with the stock ECU Flash and the parts listed above.
446 Torque
360 WHP
Second Run was after the custom tune and the gains were very nice for a Mustang Dyno.
463 Torque +17 gain
391 WHP +31 gain

- Version 2 Water Pump Pulley
- New Supercharger Belt

The Mustang & Dyno Dynamics are both "heart breaker" Dyno's, but they are the best to tune on. To be honest, I was expecting to be at least 400 + whp, however I try not to put to much stock in the actual numbers that are released, but try to focus on the gains of before and after as the car sits on the Dyno. Most people tend to be more impressed by some inflated number (like Dyno Jet numbers), but tuning a car while it sits on the Dyno is the only way to get accurate readings for modifications.
I was also told by LET, that this particular Dyno reads low and to not be disappointed by the low reading numbers. All I can say is the car is pretty quick and is driving very well with this current set-up...Next mod will be next week (larger heat exchanger).
