Aside from the mileage everything looks good. I'd say go for it, they were originally $60k+

I'd bet $$ that there will be a handful of '07 S's
under 40K by late winter.
It's a great car but a very narrow market.
My goal is to get one before next season also!

Any reason? Yes, you can't handle the fun!

There are sometimes exige s out there for under 40. One sold in 30 seconds a couple weeks ago on lotus talk. 35thousand dollars.. I recommend going to their classifieds, lots of good cars and information.

By the way, dont sweat the mileage... I have 60k on mine, its a toyota drivetrain.. I change the oil and thats it.

I might suggest you buy a supercharged model. I know its a bit more but like I did you will eventually crave more power. You also get a factory intercooler and a years more warranty. To do over I would have gone this route. There are great pulley and eCU tuning options for the S model.

I actually drove that exact car (the red Exige). It was a VERY fun car to drive, and this coming from a Cayman S owner. I will tell you that you can probably find better examples out there, though, just as mentioned above. This one had some good rock chips just in front of the rear tire, along with the more traditional chips. However, you could easily cover those with black vinyl. This is done on many of their cars, anyhow.

The gentlemen that work at this dealership are fantastic, though...from the salesmen to the tech. So you can't go wrong there. Lemme know if you have any specific questions about the car, and maybe I could help.

Good luck,
Charles

How is the power and acceleration of the Exige as compared to the Cayman?

That's a good question. Something I went back and forth with for a while. The Exige is a little faster, but it also feels faster because everything is shaking and rattling, and there's not much isolating the driver from the whole "experience". The Cayman is WAY more livable on a daily basis, but from strictly a sports car stand-point, the Exige would be a little more fun.
My girlfriend lives in Savannah, and there was NO way I was driving the Exige 4 hours to visit her. Especially after the tech told me that sometimes the A/C's aren't always the strongest. Plus, I needed to bring more than my thong and a toothbrush.
