Don't read too much from that video. I know both drivers personally and the one in the Porsche would have been driving his car far far harder.
Conditions were damp and foggy and the Porsche driver still drove as hard as he could, reaching 196mph through the timing beams on wet tarmac. The GTO driver took it a fair bit easier and backed off..........
