Looking to order a 2011 USB IS F, can't decide weather to order the vehicle w/ black leather & alcantara seats or all leather seats. My concern w/ the alcantara is the wear and how it'll hold up in the long run...

Any input or opinions welcomed from anyone who's has either combination....

 

I currently have a IS with alcantara and leather, and have owned other Lexus's with the same, the oldest is a 2002 with 160k on it. The car has had plenty of seat time, the alacantara has held up outstandingly. I personally would choose them again.

 

Any slipping or moving around while seated with the alcantara seats? (While taking sharp turns or constant moving of the car)

 

I never had troubles keeping myself in the seat, the texture keeps you in place, another reason i enjoyed them so much is the tempature of the alacantara vs the leather, im in new england, its hotter then hell and then 29 inches of snow (yesterday) the mixed seats are never uncomfortable, lexus's heated and cooled seats are great but sometimes you wanna just sit in a seat without your backside on fire or on ice.
And the isf has pretty aggressive boulsters anyways, id venture to guess they could make them out of teflon and youd stick.

 

Go for the Alcantara! I love the look and you are covered on the warranty!

 

alcantera holds up better than leather. i don't see any downside. go for it.
