PDK steering wheel with paddles retrofit

I've read through this thread

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...l-paddles.html

But the OP didn't update with whether the PDK paddles could be used with a Tiptronic.

Does anyone have any update on this issue and whether it's possible ?

Things to buy :
1. Multi-function Gen 2 PDK steering wheel with paddles
2. Gen 2 steering airbag

Anything else ?

Cheers guys.

If I remember right, it didn't work properly after everything they tried...

If I'm not mistaken the aie bag is the problem -the new one doesn't work with 07-09 control unit. The eases way would be to attach to existing steering wheel aftermarket paddles from FVD or Mercedes AMG.

I was the one of the 2007 owners who tried to install the Porsche paddle shift wheel. It will not work. I went with the FVD paddle shift wheel and love it. Other than losing the Porsche emblem, I think I actually prefer this wheel to the Porsche wheel. Thicker and a better feel. You really need to go with paddles. Call Rhonda at FVD. She was great to work with and very knowledgeable.
