APR tuning?

I have their software on my A3 2.0T which is the same as your GTI. It works well, I would speculate that there are more GTI/A3 cars on APR than all the other tuners combined.
Make sure you have a downpipe so you can get stage 2 software.

no problem... I love my car with stage 2... it's 270/320tq with just the downpipe (in my case a $100 ebay catless one) and APR tune).
ADDED BONUS - you'll get better MPGs with stage 2 compared to stock. I'm getting about 24 city, 29 highway.
You've got the newer TSI motor you your gains will be even better.

Like "the blue"W says gas mileage goes up a bit. My average since new is 27.8. On an hour highway trip I'm seeing 31-34MPG and I play a bit too.
